Domino Designer Fundamentals

Summary Description
This course is a hands-on introduction to the basic skills of working in the Domino Designer development environment. Through instructor lecture and student-centered activities and exercises, students learn how to use Domino design elements to create an application that addresses business needs. By the end of the course, students will be able to incorporate business requirements into basic multi-client applications and to appropriately use many of the R5 Domino Designer design elements.

Objectives:
By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

Create and display content pages Explain the relationship between pages, documents and forms Create and modify forms to capture information from users Create and modify views to organize information Add logic to forms and views Audit application security settings Design and modify application navigational structure

Audience:
Application developers with no experience using Domino Designer to develop applications.

Prerequisites:
Experience using the Notes R5 client to access applications
or Experience using a Web browser to access applications

Recommendations: Completion of the Domino Designer R5 Guided Tour Completion of the Notes R5 Client Guided Tour Experience developing one or more applications using other application development tools
