Course Description
The MGX 8850 ATM Edge Switch Configuration (MAESC) course teaches the required skills to set up and manage an MGX 8850 ATM network that supports both ATM SVCs and
SPVCs. Students are provided background information on the product features and underlying technologies to successfully build the network starting with initial switch set up and concluding with virtual
circuits. Using Cisco WAN Manager to manage the network is also covered in the course.
Prerequisites
Individuals should have knowledge of networking concepts, ATM, and transmission facilities (T3, E3, SONET, SDH).
Objectives
Configure and monitor MGX 8850 PNNI network that supports ATM SPVCs and PVCs using the MGX CLI
Perform graceful and ungraceful firmware upgrades using the CLI and CWM
